Our Story
Established in November 2011, Rainmaker promotes citizen participation in Myanmar democratic transition by providing awareness raising trainings on democratic values and women rights in partnership with civil society organizations. Rain Maker is a non-government organization to deliver strengthen of public policy, federal development electoral process and researching and has been working for based on UDHR equal rights, gender inclusion and independent living of ethnic people in Myanmar. The head quarter is based in Yangon.
The organization is structured and functioned by four sectors: (1) Social Protection, (2) Electoral Process (3) Women Empowerment (4) Conflict Resolution Management. Rain Maker is implementing in 10-regions and states across the country. There are 17 network organization, and 120 core members are running in project operation team in 8 regions of Myanmar.

Vision statement
Every citizen from all ethnicities in Myanmar shall be free from discrimination based on their diversities and equally enjoy the benefits of justice, peace and development also to emerge practicing of federalism in Myanmar.
Mission statement
Mission of for all women and men of the various States and Regions within the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to be free from discrimination based on their diversities and to equally enjoy the benefits of justice, peace and development, the organization will execute evidence-based advocacy, promote awareness on gender equality, sustainable peace and development and free and fair election in Myanmar also building the capacities of civil societies in collaboration and coordination with other like-minded national and international NGOs.
Rain Maker acquaint with and consistently apply these principles, in particular in situations of armed conflict.
Humanity: Human suffering must be addressed wherever it is found. The purpose of humanitarian action is to protect life and health and ensure respect for human beings.
Neutrality: Humanitarian actors must not take sides in hostilities or engage in controversies of a political, racial, religious or ideological nature.
Impartiality: Humanitarian action must be carried out on the basis of need alone, giving priority to the most urgent cases of distress and making no distinctions on the basis of nationality, race, gender, religious belief, class or political opinions.
Independence: Humanitarian action must be autonomous from the political, economic, military or other objectives that any actor may hold with regard to areas where humanitarian action is being implemented.
